Geka Geladze visited the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, met with graduates of the basic training course and inspected the infrastructure

Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, visited the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, met with graduates of the basic police training course and inspected the infrastructure of the educational institution.

Geka Geladze congratulated the graduates on the completion of the professional training course, thanked the certified officers for choosing the profession of a police officer and wished them successful career in the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Minister of Internal Affairs and his deputy - Shalva Tadumadze, were hosted by the Rector of the Academy - Lela Chikovani, who familiarized them with Academy’s main directions, professional training courses for law enforcement officers, as well as latest educational approaches, playing an important role in ensuring effective regular training. The Rector of the Academy focused on the integration of scientific, technical and high-tech resources in the teaching process and standards serving to adapt personnel to challenges in the law enforcement field.

At the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze visited the auditoriums intended for theoretical and practical training, forensic lab, and the examination spaces, as well as the closed, semi-open and virtual shooting ranges, where trainees undergo practical exercises to strengthen their operational response skills.

Geka Geladze also inspected the exhibition space of important documents preserved by the MIA Academy archive, attended simulation training as well as physical training course for cadets.
