The Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, visited the structural units of the Border Police and the Strategic Pipelines Protection Department.
The Minister inspected the infrastructure, work spaces, the vehicle fleet and special equipment of the Rapid Response Main Division. Geka Geladze, together with the Head of the Border Police, Davit Tamazashvili, also attended a tactical skills demonstration training and visited the K-9 division at the base.
The Minister received comprehensive information on the main directions of the units' activities from the leadership of the Rapid Response Main Division and expressed gratitude towards the representatives of the Border Police for their effective work.
Geka Geladze also visited the Strategic Pipelines Protection Department, where he got familiarized with the specifics of the unit's activities on site. During the meeting with the employees, he focused on the priority areas of the department and planned infrastructure projects.
In addition to the mentioned, the Minister of Internal Affairs also visited K-9 Service of the Forensic-criminalistics Department, where he stressed the importance of the unit and the future prospects for strengthening its existing capacities.
Along with Geka Geladze, Deputy Ministers - Mariam Tabatadze and Giorgi Butkhuzi visited the structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
