As a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted at different times, officers of Lanchkhuti and Chokhatauri Police Divisions under Guria Police Department arrested two previously convicted persons - T.Dz., born in 1962, and currently on probation G.M., on charges of illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition.
The committed crimes envision up to 20 years of imprisonment.
As a result of personal search and search activities held in residential places and storage rooms, the police seized “Nagan” revolver and “Makarov” pistol, as well as F1 grenade with an explosive fuse, a GP-25 launcher with 10 shells, 3 magazines and 194 cartridges.
Law enforcement officers also seized a particularly large amount of narcotics "cannabis" and "buprenorphine".
The investigation is underway under Articles 236, 260 and 265 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
