As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Imereti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as Chiatura and Sachkhere police Divisions, arrested 4 persons on charges of causing less serious injury to health on purpose - G.N., born in 1991, M.S., born in 1990, A.Ch., born in 1985, and T.G., born in 1989.
The committed crime envisions up to 6 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the defendants physically confronted the director of Shukruti mine in Chiatura municipality - T.K., born in 1982, and inflicted injuries on various parts of the body. Emergency medical personnel took T.K. to a medical facility, where he was provided with appropriate medical assistance.
As a result of immediate investigative measures, law enforcement officers arrested the accused persons within a few hours after the crime.
The investigation is underway under Article 118, Part 2 of the Criminal Code, which refers to causing less serious harm to health.
