As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Imereti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained citizens of the Republic of Ukraine - O.A., born in 2004, and O.A., born in 1998, on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase and storage of narcotics and illegal sale committed in group, especially in large quantities, by prior agreement.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During the detainees’ personal search and search activities held in their residential homes, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs, 184 packages of "methadone".
Herewith, narcotics placed for sale were seized as evidence from the locations indicated by the police.
As a result of the investigative actions, materials and adhesive tapes necessary for packaging narcotics were also seized from the defendants' places of residence. .
The investigation is in progress under Article 260, Part II, Subparagraphs “b”, part III of the same article, subparagraph “A” and article 260 (4) Part V, Subparagraphs “b” and Part VI, Subparagraphs “b” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
