As a result of immediate operative measures and investigative actions, officers of Kutaisi Police Division under Imereti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested previously convicted U.B., born in 1994 on charges of attempted murder against two or more persons.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that during a confrontation in Kutaisi, which started on the basis of a mutual dispute, the accused person inflicted wounds to Z.F., born in 1978, V.Kh., born in 1975, and Sh.S., born in 1985, in various parts of the body using a cold weapon and fled the scene.
The wounded men were taken to a medical facility, where one of them, Z.F., died shortly after being admitted at the hospital.
As a result of the operational measures and investigative actions taken by the police, U.B. was arrested as a defendant few hours after the incident.
Law enforcement officers seized the weapon of crime - a knife, as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Article 19-109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
