As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Saguramo Police and Dusheti Police Division of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested M.N., born in 1963, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of firearms, ammunition and explosives.
The committed crime envisions up to 6 years of imprisonment.
Based on operational information, law enforcement officers searched M.N. as well as his residential home and seized various types of firearms and ammunition as evidence, namely: 2,581 live cartridges, 12 packages of "TNT", explosives, 15 detonators, 15 magazines, 2 hand grenades and a machine gun.
As a result of the investigative actions conducted by law enforcement officers, narcotics were also seized, in particular: dried "marijuana", a psychotropic substance and 6 roots of the plant "cannabis".
The investigation is underway under Article 236, III and I Parts, as well as Articles 265 and 273 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
