As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Khelvachauri District Division of the Adjara Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested Belarusian citizens: E.L., born in 2000, V.Z., born in 2000, and G.K., born in 2001, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs committed by a group with prior agreement and facilitation of the illegal sale of narcotic drugs.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
As a result of personal search and search activities of temporary residential apartment of the accused persons in Batumi, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of the narcotic drug "marijuana" ready for sale, as well as materials necessary for packaging and cultivating narcotic drugs.
As part of the investigation, the narcotic drug "marijuana" stored for further sale at 17 different locations in Khelvachauri Municipality and Batumi was also seized, and photographs of the aforementioned locations were found on the mobile phone of one of the accused persons.
Law enforcement officers arrested all three individuals as accused persons.
The investigation is in progress under Articles 260 and 260 (4) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
