As a result of operational-search measures and investigative actions, officers of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained two citizens of the Republic of Turkey: A.A., born in 2004, and B.I., born in 2001.
A.A. is charged with an attempted murder, as well as with illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms, while B.I. is detained for failure to report a particularly grave crime.
The committed crimes envisions up to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established on June 25 of the current year, that A.A., shot a citizen of the Republic of Turkey - E.A., born in 2000 in Batumi with a firearm and fled the scene. The wounded man was taken to the hospital, where he received appropriate medical assistance.
The investigation also established that the crime was witnessed by A.A.'s companion - B.I., currently detained as a defendant, however he did not report the crime to law enforcement officers.
As a result of the conducted operational-search measures and investigative actions, law enforcement officers detained both of them as defendants.
The investigation is in progress under Articles 19-108, 236 and 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
