As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Marneuli Police Division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested R.M., born in 2001, on charges of Inflicting Health Damage, Threats, Violence, and Illegal Acquisition, Storage, and Carrying of Firearms, while A.G., born in 2002, is being held on charges of Violence and Illegal Carrying of Firearms.
The committed crimes envision up to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the accused person, in a village in Marneuli Municipality, on the grounds of conflict, physically assaulted O.I., born in 2007, and during the same confrontation, they threatened to kill S.I., born in 2008, with a firearm and fired a gunshot due to which a fragment of the fired cartridge injured A. A. in the face who was present at the scene.
The injured man was taken to the clinic for appropriate medical assistance.
Law enforcement officers arrested R.M. and A.G. as accused persons.
The police seized the weapon of crime as evidence.
The investigation is underway under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, as well as Articles 120, 126 and 151.
