As a result of immediate operative measures and investigative actions, officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 2 persons: L.K., born in 2005, and N.K., born in 2001, on charges of group violence and inflicting severe health damage on purpose.
The committed crime envisions up to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that N.K., who was under the influence of alcohol, crossed into the opposite lane of traffic while driving and collided with another vehicle.
After the collision, the passenger of the vehicle, A.M., born in 1986, and N.K. had a verbal argument, which escalated into a physical confrontation.
To assist N.K., his brother, L.K., who was also drunk, got involved in the conflict and used a cold steel he had with him to stab A.M.
The wounded man was taken to the hospital, where he received appropriate medical assistance.
Law enforcement officers arrested L.K. on charges of inflicting severe health damage on purpose, and N.K. on charges of violence committed in group.
Law enforcement officers seized the weapon of crime - a knife - as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Articles 117 and 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
