As a result of immediate investigative actions, officers of Kakheti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested N.R., born in 1999, on charges of inflicting grave bodily harm on purpose to two people.
The committed crime envisions up to 13 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the accused persons, during a conflict in Kvareli that started on the basis of a mutual dispute, inflicted multiple wounds on the body of R.M., born in 1984, with a cold weapon. An employee of the Detectives Division of Kakheti Police Department, born in 1983, witnessed the confrontation and tried to defuse the situation - who was also wounded by the accused person using a cold steel. The injured persons were taken to the hospital, where they were provided with appropriate medical assistance.
The police seized the weapon of the crime - a knife - as evidence.
The investigation into the fact of inflicting grave bodily harm on purpose committed against two persons is underway under Article 117, Part III of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
