Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Tbilisi Police Department, Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli and Adjara Police Departments, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions carried out at different times, arrested 11 people on drug-related charges.
The following persons have been arrested on charges of illegal acquisition and storage of especially large amount of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, facilitation of sale, attempted sale, illegal cultivation of a plant containing narcotic drugs in a particularly large amount, and illegal acquisition and storage of firearms: A.V., born in 1996, V.D., born in 2004, G.O., born in 1988, L.M., born in 2000, Ukrainian citizen V.Kh., born in 1978, with previous convictions: G.D., born in 2004, G.M., born in 1989, D.M., born in 1976, O.Dz., born in 1978, A.S., born in 1989. and L.G., born in 1970
The committed crimes envision up to 20 years in prison.
As a result of the personal search the defendants, and search activities held in residential homes, as well as during the investigative experiment, law enforcement officers seized the following drugs for sale from the locations indicated by them: "Heroin", "Alpha PVP", "Methadone", "Clephedrone", "MDMA", "Marijuana", and 122 cannabis plants.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized firearms and materials necessary for the cultivation of narcotic drugs.
The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 260 (4), 19-260 (3), 265 Prima and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
