As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested previously convicted M.J., born in 1988, for theft.
The committed crime envisions up to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the accused person illegally entered the apartment of S.M., born in 1985, a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Tbilisi, for the purpose of theft and stole various expensive items, as well as 13,000 US dollars, and left the scene.
Law enforcement officers seized the stolen items, half of the stolen cash, a lockpicking tool - the so-called "Atmichka" and other appliances as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Article 177, Part II, Subparagraph "a" and Part III, Subparagraph "c" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
