As a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative actions conducted, officers of Isani-Samgori Police Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested previously convicted G.B., born in 1979, for inflicting Less Serious Damage to Health on Purpose.
The committed crime envisions up to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that during a confrontation that started on the basis of a mutual dispute, the accused wounded A.A., born in 1989, in the lower limbs with a firearm and fled the scene. The injured person was placed in a medical facility.
As a result of immediate investigative actions, law enforcement officers arrested G.B. as the accused person within a few hours.
The police seized the weapon of crime as evidence.
The investigation is ongoing under Articles 118 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
