As a result of immediate operative measures and investigative actions, officers of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested T.G., born in 2000, on charges of premeditated murder committed against a family member.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
The investigation established that on August 22 of the current year, in a residential apartment located in Tbilisi, the accused person fatally wounded his wife, L.G., born in 2003, with a cold weapon due to a mutual dispute.
As a result of immediate investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, the accused person was arrested.
Police seized the weapon of crime - a knife - as evidence.
The investigation is underway under Article 109, sub-paragraph "k" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to premeditated murder committed against a family member under aggravating circumstances.
