As a result of immediate operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Gardabani Police Division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested E.G., born in 1981, on charges of attempted murder.
The committed crime envisions up to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that during a domestic conflict, the accused person inflicted several wounds to his fellow villager, J.I., born in 1994, with a cold steel in chest area and fled the scene. The wounded man was taken to the medical facility.
As a result of the investigative actions conducted by the police, E.G. was arrested shortly after the crime too place.
Law enforcement officers seized the weapon of crime - a knife - as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
