As a result of complex operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Investigation Division of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan on charges of illegally crossing the Georgian state border.
Crime committed envisions imprisonment up to 5 years.
The investigation revealed that Ch.G., born in 1998, illegally crossed the Georgian state border, bypassing border control. Law enforcement officers detained the accused on the Tbilisi-Marneuli road while driving.
The investigation is ongoing under Article 344 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
