As a result of jointly conducted operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Detectives (Operational) and Investigation Divisions of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested previously convicted R.B., born in 1979, residing in Zugdidi, on charges of drug-related crimes.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
As a result of measures taken on the basis of the Court decision, law enforcement officers seized an especially large amount of granules, loose mass, and psychotropic substances containing the narcotic drug "Methadone" from the detainee.
The investigation is in progress under Article 260, part III, Subparagraph "A" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
