Officers of the Detectives (Operational) and Investigation Divisions of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of joint operational measures and investigative actions conducted on a hot pursuit, arrested N.Kh., born in 1991, on charges of premeditated murder.
Crime committed envisions imprisonment up to 15 years.
The investigation established that on August 13 of current year, the accused inflicted multiple wounds with a cold weapon on N.M., born in 1983, in his own house in Zugdidi, following an argument.
As a result of the injuries sustained, N.M. died at the scene.
Law enforcement officers arrested the suspect, N.Kh., on hot pursuit shortly after the incident. The police seized the weapon used to commit the crime - a knife - as evidence.
The investigation is ongoing under Article 108 of the Criminal Code, which refers to premeditated murder.
