As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Border Management and Coordination Main Division of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested a foreign citizen, S.G., born in 1986, on charges of bribery and using a forged document.
Crime committed envisions imprisonment from 3 to 7 years.
The investigation revealed that the accused S.G., while crossing the border checkpoint Dariali on the Georgian state border, during mandatory border control, presented forged documents and offered a bribe to the border guard. Law enforcement officers arrested S.G. as a suspect for giving a bribe and using a forged document.
The investigation is ongoing under Article 339, Part 2 and Article 362, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
