At the event, the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Anri Okhanashvili, President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze and Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili delivered the opening remarks. They expressed gratitude towards the employees of the State Security Service for their service and contribution to the security of the country.
A minute of silence was observed at the event to honor the memory of heroically deceased employees.
At the end of the event, the Head of the State Security Service, Anri Okhanashvili presented the service employees with state awards of various degrees - 328 employees of the agency were awarded with the State Security Service First Class and Honorary Medals.
