As a result of immediate operative and investigative actions, officers of Shida Kartli Police arrested 6 people on hot trail.
On charges of intentional severe bodily damage, the purchase, storage, and carrying of firearms, D.G., born in 1988, was arrested by law enforcement officers and, I.M., born in 1981, L.M., born in 1989, D.Ts., born in 1992, B.T., born in 1992, and G.Sh., born in 1991 were arrested on charges of gang violence against two or more persons.
The committed crime envisions up to 10 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on August 8 of this year, in the city of Gori, the accused D.G. physically assaulted L.N., born in 2003, on the basis of mutual dispute. In order to resolve the conflict that had arisen, the opposing parties, along with their accompanying persons, met again later. During the repeated confrontation, the accused committed a group violence against L.N. and his companions, during which D.G. fired several shots from a firearm and wounded L.N.'s brother, D.N., in the lower limbs and his friend, E.N.. Both of them are being treated at the clinic for appropriate medical attention. After the incident, the accused fled the scene.
As a result of the operational measures and investigative actions taken, the police arrested the individuals accused of the crime within a few hours of the incident.
As a result of a search conducted in D.G.'s basement, law enforcement officers seized the weapon used in the crime - a "Molot Arms" model firearm - as evidence.
The incident is being investigated under Articles 117, 236, and 126 of the Criminal Code.
