As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Khashuri Police Division of Shida Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested T.N., born in 1999, on charges of illegal felling of wood plants.
The committed crime envisions up to 3 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the accused person illegally cut deciduous timber in one of the forestry sections of Ali village forest district of Khashuri municipality for the purpose of further sale.
Law enforcement officers arrested the accused person on the territory of Ali village while he was transporting illegally appropriated timber in a vehicle without a state license plate.
An investigation into the illegal felling of a wood plants is in progress under Article 303, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
