Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze held an introductory meeting with Public Defender, Levan Ioseliani.
The meeting focused on the current situation in the country in terms of human rights protection.
Geka Geladze outlined the importance of the activities of the Public Defender Institute and noted that in order to further enhance the standard of human rights protection, it is important to deepen cooperation between the two institutions. According to the Minister, the protection of human rights and their security is a priority for the Ministry.
In turn, Levan Ioseliani reviewed with the Minister the main directions of the activities of the Public Defender Institute and expressed his readiness to further enhance the existing partnership.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Roland Meskhi, Deputies -Aleksandre Darakhvelidze and Shalva Tadumadze.
