Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, along with the First Deputy Minister, Roland Meskhi held a working meeting with the leadership of police departments in Batumi.
Geka Geladze received detailed information from the heads of the Police Departments on the fight against crime and police preventive measures. Among other topics, the meeting focused on the steps taken by the agency to ensure a safe tourist environment in Georgia during the summer season.
It was noted at the meeting that in connection with the summer season, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are mobilized with enhanced resources to ensure a safe environment throughout Georgia, including Adjara region.
The meeting focused on the measures taken to increase the efficiency of police activities and ongoing reforms.
The Minister of Internal Affairs expressed gratitude towards the representatives of the police departments for their efforts in maintaining public safety, the rule of law and wished them success.
