The officers of Marneuli Regional Division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative and investigative activities detained N.M (DoB: 1964) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
Committed crime envisages from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.
Law enforcers detained N.M. while driving a minibus on the territory of Tetritskaro Municipality, on Marneuli-Tbilisi road. As a result of search activities of a minibus and N.M's house, the police seized as evidence up to 2 kg of narcotics containing "heroin".
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, sub-clause “A”, part IV of the Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
