An internal football tournament is being held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in which teams from various structural units of the Ministry are taking part. The teams of Emergency Situations Management Service and the Security Police Department faced each other in the final match. During the tense match, the team of the Emergency Situations Management Service achieved victory and became the champion for the third time.
At the end of the match, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Geka Geladze, handed over the winner team with a cup specially designated for the tournament, and awarded the team's players with medals. The Minister presented a special prize to the tournament's top scorer - Lasha Kobakhidze, who managed to score 18 goals during the tournament.
The players of the Security Police and Patrol Police Department teams that came on second and third places were awarded with medals by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze and the Chairman of the Security Police Department - Teimuraz Kupatadze.
The football tournament is held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs each year as a tradition, which aims to popularize a healthy lifestyle among the employees of the agency.
