Due to high public interest, we would like to provide the public with information regarding the detention of G.R., born in 1967.
On July 6 of the current year, law enforcement officers, while scanning G.R.'s hand luggage at the departure terminal of Tbilisi International Airport, seized a firearm, a magazine, and cartridges.
It was determined that the firearm is registered on G.R.'s name, although the person in question did not have the right to carry the firearm.
The investigation is in progress under Article 236 III and IV parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
