Employees of the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of investigative, procedural and operational measures carried out in conjunction with the Prosecutor General's Office, arrested three persons on charges of illegal purchase, storage and sale of narcotics.
Crime committed envisions imprisonment from 12 to 20 years or life sentence.
The investigation established that the inspector of second division of Kutaisi Police Department of Imereti Police, Kh.Z., born in 1969, illegaly sold the narcotic drug "Morphine" to citizen I.G., born in 1964, and to citizen A.B., born in 1960 in order to receive financial gains.
As a result of a search of the personal and residential homes of citizens I.G. and A.B., the narcotic drug "Morphine" and the narcotic drug "Buprenorphine" that the defendants were illegally storing were seized as evidence.
The investigation is ongoing under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia and Part 4 of Article 260 Tertiary.
