As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Main Investigation Department and the Main Detectives (Operational) Department of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested one person on charges of drug crimes.
G.M., born in 1987, has been arrested on charges of illegal purchase, storage and sale of a large amount of narcotics.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
Officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a number of undercover investigative actions based on a judge's ruling, which established that the accused person was selling narcotics. Based on the judge's ruling, the police carried out several undercover purchases of various types of narcotics and secretly recorded the aforementioned purchases.
During personal search and search activities held in residential home of G.M., law enforcement officers seized a large amount of various types of narcotics, including: "Cocaine", "Alpha-PVP" and "Clephedrone".
As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized as evidence the materials necessary for packaging narcotics, an electric scale and the amount allegedly received as a result of the sale of narcotics.
The investigation is ongoing under Article 260, Part 1, Subparagraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 260 and Article 260, Part 5, Subparagraph "a" Article 260 (3) part V of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
