As a result of complex operational-search measures and investigative actions, officers of Adjara Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two previously convicted persons: G.B., born in 1989, and T.Sh., born in 1993.
G.B. is charged with premeditated murder and illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms and ammunition, while T.Sh. is detained for failure to report a grave crime.
The committed crimes envision up to 15 years in prison.
The investigation established that late at night on June 4 of the current year, in Khelvachauri municipality, on the grounds of a past disagreement, G.B. shot his acquaintance, B.B., born in 1992, in his own vehicle with several shots from a firearm. In order to cover up the traces of crime, he drove the car into the river and fled the scene.
The investigation also established that his friend T.Sh. was aware about the crime committed by G.B., however failed to report the incident to the police.
As a result of implemented investigative actions, law enforcement officers arrested both of them as defendants.
The investigation is underway under Articles 108, 236 and 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
