As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Old Tbilisi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested two individuals - M.Sh., born in 1992, and T.T., born in 1988, on charges of gang violence.
Crimes committed envision imprisonment up to 2 years.
The investigation established that on August 1 of current year, following a dispute on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, near the Parliament, participants of protest assaulted B.G., born in 1988.
As a result of operational measures taken in the case, law enforcement officers identified the perpetrators and based on the judge's ruling, arrested M.Sh. and T.T. as defendants.
Investigations continue identifying other persons involved in the crime to bring them to criminal responsibility.
The investigation is being conducted under Subparagraph “b” of Part One of Article 126 of the Criminal Code.
