As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Main Division for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested L.M., born in 1994, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of large and especially large quantities of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During search activities held in detainee's apartment, law enforcement officers seized various types of narcotic drugs as evidence, including: "mephedrone", "MDMA", "methamphetamine", "psilocybin" mushrooms, "dried marijuana" and "pregabalin".
As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized materials necessary for packing narcotics, adhesive tapes and an electric scale. The investigation is in progress under Article 260 I, II and III, as well as Article 261 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
