As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Main Division for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Central Criminal Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested Sh.N., born in 1990, on charges of illegal purchase, storage and preparation for sale of marijuana.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During the personal search of the detainee and search activities held in his vehicle, law enforcement officers seized 23 packages of marijuana as evidence.
The investigation established that the accused person, for further realization of drugs, placed marijuana in various places, took photos, and then sent it to persons interested in the purchase with the appropriate markings and coordinates.
Law enforcement officers seized 6 packages of drugs from the location indicated by the detainee. The police also seized an electric scale as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Articles 18-260 (3) and 273 (1) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
