As a result of immediate operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested I.E., born in 1984, on charges of inflicting grave bodily harm on purpose.
The committed crime envisions from 9 to 13 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that during a confrontation that started on the basis of a mutual dispute, the accused person inflicted various types of injuries to two people: R.S., born in 1982, and M.Gh., born in 1984, using a cold weapon and fled the scene. The injured persons have been taken to a medical facility.
In the course of operational measures, law enforcement officers arrested I.E. shortly after the incident – as a result of immediate police actions.
The investigation is in progress under Article 117, Part III, Subparagraph "L" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to inflicting grave bodily harm on purpose, committed against two or more persons.
