As a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted at various times, officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 3 people on drug-related charges.
G.S. (DoB 1995), previously convicted and currently on probation - V.K. (DoB 1985), and Nigerian citizen M.A. (DoB 1988), were arrested on charges of illegal sale of a especially large amount of narcotics and illegal purchase, storage, sale and attempted sale of marijuana.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years of imprisonment.
Based on the Court decision, the police carried out an undercover purchase of drugs and secretly recorded the aforementioned process.
As a result of the personal search held to detainees, and during the search of their personal belongings, vehicles and residential venues, as well as in the course of the investigative experiment, law enforcement officers seized the narcotics "dried marijuana" and "methadone" placed for sale as evidence from the locations indicated by them.
The investigation is underway under Articles 260 (3), 19-260 (3) and 273 (1) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
