As a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted at different times, officers of Mestia and Zugdidi Police Divisions of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 3 persons on drug charges.
The following persons have been arrested on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a large amount of narcotic drugs, illegal purchase and storage of psychotropic substances, as well as illegal purchase, storage and cultivation of a plant containing narcotic drugs: K.A., born in 1971, B.C., born in 1989, and G.J., born in 1985.
The committed crimes envision up to 8 years of imprisonment.
Law enforcement officers, during the personal searching and search activities held in their residential homes, seized a large amount of various types of narcotics and psychotropic substances as evidence, including: "Methadone", "Lyrica" and "herbal cannabis".
Investigation under Articles 260, 261, 265 and 273 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
