Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Geka Geladze, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkiye to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbai.
The parties discussed issues of deepening the existing strategic partnership and close bilateral cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Turkiye. Among other topics, attention was focused on the importance of the effective partnership between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and the Republic of Turkiye.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia noted that the Georgian side deeply appreciates the continuous support of the Turkish side to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and expressed hope that through joint efforts, the existing relations will be further strengthened and solidified.
At the meeting, attention was also paid to the ongoing processes in the South Caucasus and the role of Georgia and Turkiye in promoting stability and peace in the region.
