Geka Geladze, Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, held a meeting with Faig Guliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia.
The parties discussed issues of strategic partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The conversation touched upon the ongoing developments in the South Caucasus region and discussed existing security issues. Within the scope of the meeting, there was emphasized the importance of peace and cooperation for the sustainable development of the region.
At the meeting attention was also paid to the close and effective police cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Minister expressed hope for further deepening of the existing exemplary partnership and emphasized the special role of police attachs in this process.
