As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested previously convicted G.M., born in 1975, on charges of illegal planting and cultivation of a plant containing a particularly large amount of narcotic substances.
The committed crime envisions up to 12 years of imprisonment.
As a result of a search conducted at G.M.'s residence in Sagarejo Municipality, law enforcement officers seized 33 roots of "plant cannabis" containing narcotic substances as evidence from specially arranged so-called "grow boxes".
An investigation into the illegal planting and cultivation of a plant containing a particularly large amount of narcotics is underway under Article 265 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
