As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Main Division for Juvenile Affairs under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 9 people.
The following persons are detained on the charges of inhuman treatment of an under-aged person committed by the group with previous knowledge: L.A., born in 1995, G.M., born in 2006, D.B., born in 2007, D.M., born in 2008, G.J., born in 2008, S.Sh., born in 2008, M., born in 2010. Kh., Z.O., born in 2010, and A.R., born in 201.
The committed crime envisions up to 10 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that, on the basis of the previous disagreement, under-aged M.Kh., took also under-aged A.Kh. by deception to an abandoned building near one of the metro stations in Tbilisi, where A.Kh. was met by other defendants.
After the verbal confrontation on the spot, the detainees physically assaulted A.Kh., also inflicted injuries on various body parts with a cold steel, and filmed a video on a mobile phone depicting the violence, physical and mental coercion, and degrading acts against him.
As a result of complex investigative and procedural actions carried out by the law enforcement officers, during personal search of the detainees and search activities held in their places of residence, their mobile phones, items with Nazi symbolism, cold steel and pneumatic weapons were seized as evidence.
The investigation into the fact of inhuman treatment committed by the group against a minor with prior knowledge is in progress under Article 144 (3), Part 2, Subparagraphs “e” and “g” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
