As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Kareli Police Division of Shida Kartli Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested O.Gh., born in 1954, on charges of violating sawmill registration requirements.
The committed crime envisions up to 3 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the defendant had set up an unregistered sawmill in a building on his own land plot in the village of Ruisi, Kareli Municipality. As a result of the inspection, law enforcement officers seized a so-called band saw as evidence. 70 pieces of coniferous wood logs were detected and seized on the territory of the sawmill as well.
An investigation into the fact of violation of the sawmill registration requirements is in progress under Article 287, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
