As a result of operational-search measures and investigative actions, officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 3 individuals - S.A., born in 2005, L.J., born in 2006, and D.A., born the same year, for armed robbery.
The committed crime envisions from 11 to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the defendants attacked a foreign citizen, K.B., born in 2005, at night in Tbilisi with a gas pistol.
They demanded money and belongings by demonstrating a weapon and threatening to kill him.
Detainees illegally took possession of computer equipment, various expensive items and fled the scene.
As a result of the operational measures, law enforcement officers arrested S.A., L.J. and D.A.
shortly after the incident.
The police seized the weapon of crime and items seized as a result of the armed robbery as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Article 179, Part II, Subparagraph “b” of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to armed robbery committed in group.
