As a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted at different times, officers of Tbilisi Main Division of the Patrol Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested two persons on drug charges.
The following persons have been arrested on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a large and especially large quantities of narcotic drugs, preparation for sale, attempted sale, illegal cultivation of a plant containing narcotic, and illegal purchase and storage of firearms: L.Q., born in 1994, with a previous conviction, and F.G., a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, born in 1987.
The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
Law enforcement officers as a result of the personal search and search activities held in residential apartment, and locations indicated by L.Q. an especially large amount of the drug "Methadone", a large amount of the plant "Cannabis", "Marijuana" and an illegal firearm were seized.
From the car operated by F.G., officers of the Patrol Police Department seized a large amount of the drug "Alpha PVP" as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Article 260, Article 18-260 (3), Article 19-260 (3), Article 265, Article 273 (1) and Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
