As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested three individuals on charges of illegal acquisition and storage of narcotic drugs.
The committed crime envisions from 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that D.K., born in 1982- Inspector of the Cash-in-Transit Division under Tbilisi Collection and Protection-Escort Service of the Security Police Department, illegally purchased narcotics from citizen B.J., born in 1981, to whom, in turn, the aforementioned narcotics were illegally transferred without the purpose of receiving material benefit by citizen D.K., born in 1966.
As a result of a personal search of police officer D.K., "buprenorphine", which the accused was illegally storing, were seized. In addition, as a result of a search of the residential venues of the detainees, the narcotics "marijuana" and one cartridge intended for “Nagan” revolver, illegally stored by detainees was seized.
The investigation into the illegal purchase and storage of narcotics, illegal transfer of narcotics without the purpose of obtaining material benefit, and illegal purchase and storage of ammunition is in progress under Articles 260, part II and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
