Sixth Session of the Inter-agency Coordination Council for Combating Organized Crime was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze.
During the session, members of the Council discussed current situation in the direction of the fight against organized crime in the country, as well as measures implemented by the state agencies to combat this category of crime and the results achieved.
The parties supported the documents developed with the active involvement of the working groups within the Coordination Council, namely the 2025-2028 National Strategy for Combating Organized Crime and the 2025-2026 Action Plan, which will be submitted to the Government of Georgia for approval in the nearest future.
The meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council was attended by: the Deputy Prosecutor General of Georgia, the Deputy Minister of Finance, the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth, the Deputy Minister of Justice, as well as leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other state agencies.
